Two Staircases, One Perfect Match

This project started with a floating staircase that had seen better days. We pulled all 34 treads, sanded them down to bare wood, restained them, and sealed them with a finish that resists staining and meets Israel's non-slip safety standard, so they'd hold up for years, not just look good on day one.

The owner was so happy with the result, he handed us a tougher challenge: a second staircase leading down to the basement, built with plain contractor-grade marble, that he wanted to match the floating stairs above. The catch was the wood upstairs was already ten years old, and nowhere close to a standard supplier's shelf. We tracked down a matching source through our network, sanded and stained a full new set of treads to match exactly, then fastened them right over the marble stairs, giving the basement the same warm wood look without touching the marble underneath.

Results speak for themselves.
